John Legend Surprises Morning Commuters With Train Station Performance
John Legend knows how to brighten up a morning commute.
The music superstar delighted London railway passengers on Wednesday, with a surprise performance at St. Pancras Station.
Taking to a public piano in the middle of the terminal, John delivered live renditions of hits like "Ordinary People" and "All of Me" amid the hustle and bustle of travelers. A few onlookers captured the mini-set on social media, with one fan tweeting that the 38-year-old "earned his last name" after the impromptu treat.
John's appearance may not have been entirely unexpected for his eagle-eyed followers, though. The 10-time Grammy winner took to Twitter to tease his St. Pancras arrival shortly beforehand, while asking coyly if an instrument was waiting for him.
The timing of John's appearance likely wasn't a coincidence. Not only is the singer set to kick off the UK leg of his "Darkness and Light" world tour this fall, Wednesday also marked International Piano Day.
